There are 3 Rockwell Hardness Test Scales: Scale A, Scale B and Scale C.
Ⅳ Installation of the Hardness Tester
4.1 The working conditions of the hardness tester
4.1.1 Within the room temperature of 10-30℃;
4.1.2 In the room relative humidity no superior than 65%;
4.1.3 In a surrounding without any shock or corrosive medium;
4.2 The unpacking of the hardness tester
4.2.1 Cut off the packing belts on the eternal box and unscrew out the screws on the bottom edges of the wooden box and then take off the cover and take out the accessories kit.
4.2.2 Unscrew with a spanner the 2 outer hexangular bolts M10 to separate the tester from the base place (pay attention to the safety).
4.2.3 Place the tester horizontally and steadily on the working table with the horizontality no superior than 1mm/m. while open a hole in the working table (Fig.1) so as to allow the operating lever (6) to move normally. The suggested height of the table is about 500mm.
